The Trust Fund for Victims (TFV) contributes to realising the pillars of reparative justice of the Rome Statute through measures that recognise and redress the harm caused on victims and their families, by crimes under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, namely,  genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression.

The TFV is mandated to:

  • Provide visibility to the plight of victims.
  • Mobilize resources for the benefit of victims.
  • Design and implement programmes for the benefit of victims.

To this end, the TFV catalyzes domestic and international reparations efforts through knowledge sharing and may support initiatives to advance reparations to victims in cooperation with states or relevant institutions.
